Any input on top flange bracing of a W-shape steel beam with 5/8" flooring? I've read this is fine to do..Any comments or references on the subject would be appreciated. Intution tells me that the bracing strenth of the flooring is very minimal. Thanks.

As long as you are connected to the flooring via bolts or self-tapping screws, the wood flooring should provide enough stiffness and strength.
