So is this thing going to stay toge

So is this thing going to stay toge

RE: So is this thing going to stay toge

In other news, the 130 million people displaced by this project collectively give the Chinese Gov't the finger.

Ah, the last act of defiance before the innundation?

RE: So is this thing going to stay toge

Reading up on this project is like investigating the history of some catastrophic engineering distaster, with the real tragedy being that it hasn't happened yet.

Everyone seems to already understand that something horrible is going to happen with the project.

This dam is bad news, and a bunch of people are gonna die if it fails.

Here is a pretty good links page of the history of this project: http://www.nextcity.com/ProbeInternational/ThreeGorges/articles.htm

Egads Rhodie!  There be cracks!

Just writing myself a note not to travel anywhere in the vicinity of the three rivers in the near or far future.  I'll satisfy my enginerd curiousity through other's eyes (or cameras) for the time being!

So what do you think the fate of the engineers will be on this thing?  If they stop work will heads roll?  If the thing fails I have no doubt that heads will roll (along with a whole lot of other things).
