Current through steel
Current through steel
(OP)
We have recently started using a steel vessel as a return path, instead of the cables we used to use. Current is around 1000a on a pulse fired thyristor circuit.
There have been no problem with the application, but one of our engineers has questioned the effects of passing 1000a through steel plate. Is anyone aware of any issues this could produce.
