I have a question about stress relief on split tee for hot -tap. Is it possibble the omision of stress relief on welds for split tees with thickness wall greater than 3/4 inches?

I wouldn't attempt post weld heat treating a hot tap weldment if the fluid is still flowing in the pipe -- the heat will be carried away and you will not achieve your desired PWHT result.
