Bearing Connector

Bearing Connector

Bearing Connector

(OP)
Hi I am new to Ansys and moslty i learn by research paper having steps of simulation and youtube videos but i am stuck in a simulation,
i have to do structural analysis of decoiler(used in rolling machines), i gave bearing connection and used formula by Gargiulo, E.P.,Jr., A Simple Way to Estimate Bearing Stiffness, Machine Design, 1980, pp.107-110.to calculate stiffness for bearing.

The whole structure is machine body as in attached image, the pblm is that i am confused about contacts that i need to define further so that bearing will transfer load to machine body, say if i place 5 tonne coil on shaft, i am able to do it in solidwork sim but ansys is giving of excessive displacement.

RE: Bearing Connector

Can you post picture of your setup to see how your modelling problem, BC's and loads applied and so on? Also pictures of solidworks simulation?

Might be some contact definition related issue but need more information to point you towards solution.
