Voltage Regulator Wdg Resistance
Voltage Regulator Wdg Resistance
(OP)
I have a 10kVA, 15kV Type A voltage regulator, with no accessable neutral (no SOLO)
I'm pretty sure I have a test setup issue, but I am not sure why. I obtain really erratic and non-sensicial resistance readings for S1-L1, S2-L2, S3-L3. I am using a 10A test current. The ratio however is spot on.
Someone suggested that a higher test current may be needed for voltage regulators and it is due to the burried tertiary. Is this true and if so, could someone offer an explanation?
Curious what, if anything, causes voltage regulators to behave this way during a winding resistance test?
Cheers
