Seeking Expertise in Lamella Clarifier Sludge Management

Seeking Expertise in Lamella Clarifier Sludge Management

Hello everyone,

I am currently working as an Instrumentation and SCADA Engineer at a desalination plant, and we are encountering a significant challenge with our pre-treatment phase. Specifically, we are dealing with substantial sludge accumulation at the bottom of our lamella clarifier, which is causing blockages in the sludge discharge lines.

To address this issue, we are considering implementing a system involving submersible cameras and guided tubes to efficiently monitor and remove the sludge. However, we are seeking advice and insights from experts who have experience in managing similar issues.

If you have expertise in sludge management within lamella clarifiers, particularly in desalination processes, I would greatly appreciate your recommendations. We are interested in effective solutions and technologies that have worked for you in similar scenarios.

Any suggestions or insights on how to approach this problem, including the types of equipment or methodologies to use, would be extremely helpful.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Best regards,

instrumentation and SCADA engineer
