Hello fellows

I have successfully run the simulation for machining in Abaqus explicit. In one case of the simulation, the solving process stopped because there is highly distorted elements which are found in the chip after it break. This elements (chip) was found very far away to the cutting process, but I think the solver still did the calculation there.

What are the strategies to overcome this?
Probably delete the elements (chip) after it experience breakage? How to implement this?
Thanks

This post would probably be better suited to the FEA or more likely the Abaqus forum (pick one, please don't double post), as this sounds like less of a machining issue, and more of a software/simulation issue. Once you repost it there, you can red flag this post for deletion.
