Hello every one, I am currently building portal axle(to increase the ground clearance) in Adams/car. As per my understanding the difference I found with Beam axle(with standard axle) is
1.The half shaft and spindle are at offset to each other.
2.Wheel angle changes drastically especially Bump and roll steer.
3.Comfort and ride characteristics degrades.
4.Complexity in model building increases specially in case of front suspension.
These are the key points I found while working in this.
