Depends.

Cranfield's a nice place, if you can find it. The first couple of times that I visited the institute there, it was back when it still wasn't shown on any maps. You had to have been given detailed driving directions to find the place.

Expanding a little on SWC's rather brief answer...
I think it depends on what you want to DO with the MSc after you get it. Teach? PhD? PhD, then teach? Research? Industry? In the UK? In your home country? In the USA, Canada, Germany, France, Australia... or elsewhere? Do you have a family? If you have a spouse will that person find meaningful work in the UK?

There are so many questions to consider before you can make such a decision. If you don't provide us on the forum any of this information, how can we possibly help?

(Hence SWC's terse reply!)

That's about the going rate for an international student MSc in UK, Australia or USA. Generally a masters might be worth 2 years of seniority, but that depends. Cranfield has a good rep for aero & motorsports, for what that's worth. I'm a bit baffled by 20k for living expenses, assuming it's a 2 year course.

You haven't lived in the UK, have you Greg?
..or maybe you mean it's a low estimate, in which case, I'd agree.

RE: Is it worth to pay GBP 50,000 to study Msc in Cranfield ?

A standalone MSC in the UK is usually one year (a full 12 months) so the numbers stack up.

It's impossible for anyone to judge is this "worth" the money as we don't know what you're judging it by or any of your personal circumstances or industry you're working in.

Purely monetary terms, it might take 10 to 15 years to see that money back, but it might be what you need in order to get a position at the firm or govt body that you want. It is also important now to have that to get certain chartered status if this is important to your career progression.

Cranfield Uni is based around an old RAF base in the middle of nowhere and to have a life you probably need to live in Milton Keynes or Bedford but then need transport (a car) as it's not got a good road or rail system around it. It also used to go under the nick name of "Cranfield Monastery of Technology" as there were so few women there, but might have improved a bit.

Any Masters course you really need to look at the subject you'll be studying and the sort of projects you can do/specialise in as this will be much more important than just an MSc from any other UK or US university.

Remember - More details = better answers
