Considering surface texture terms (roughness, waviness, lay),
The machining marks resulting from a machining process - not from chatter or workpiece stability issues, but only from factors as the cutting edge nose radius and machining feed - do they get detected as a roughness profile?
Or could they as well be measured as waviness (filtered to exclude a more closely spaced interruptions that are labeled as roughness)?

There's nothing special about marks from machines operations, they're part of the surface and thus controlled by surface descriptors in GD&T on the part print - roughness, flatness, cylindricality, etc.

On the rare occasion where you legitimately need to specify details of the manufacturing process and are willing to accept the additional costs, then you need a separate manufacturing process print.
