Installing PDMWorks Standard on standalone computer

(OP)
Hello,
I currently have a license for Solidworks Professional which is supposed to include PDMWorks Standard. I attempted to install PDMworks Standard on same computer that has my solidworks cad. All the youtube tutorials indicate that you need to install Solidworks License Manager but when I try to install it it requires a serial number other than my Solidworks Professional number. My question are: Is Solidworks License manager absolutely required for a standalone installation? If so do I need a special serial number to install it and is this an additional purchase? I was under the understanding that PDM standard was included with my Solidworks Professional license.

Thanks,

Samuel

RE: Installing PDMWorks Standard on standalone computer

PDM will need an additional serial number. SO ask your VAR to provide you the same. And do note that there is no additional cost for it.

You can also get the serial number from customer portal under my products. Though customer portal is under migration to 3DSywm but you can still try.

And also note that the PDM license will work until your subscription is active.
