Dear all

I would like to know from your experience the number of hours you put in to design an excavation project (less than 20m) assuming you have all geotechnical data, lab tests, and loads ready.

thanks

Diaphram wall or sheet pile wall etc...

Is there available space behind wall to use tiebacks? If not do i need to hold discussions with neighboring property

I'd find out what the wall costs to construct and charge 10% for engineering it.
Do you have any idea how much liability you're taking on? Literally millions of dollars. If someone gets killed, your lawyer fees might be more than a million dollars.

List all of the tasks (e.g., site visit and travel expenses, plan and spec review, geotech report and borings review, number of design cases including intermediate cases, printing and mailing expenses, proposal preparation, reviewing design review comments, design revisions, CAD expense, etc.) that will be required and put hours and dollars to the design.

PEinc - the issue I had was that the OP was wanting you to do it all for them....

any groundwater to account for?

Quick answer, without knowing literally anything else except that it's a diaphragm wall or sheet pile wall: 60 hours design, 60 hours drafting.
