excellencies i am doing a research on estimation of prying action on t-stub joint. is there any body who could help me how can i know the amount of bolt force in t-stub joint on abaqus.

RE: steel/structural engineering

Please show a clear detailed picture of the joint and the loading. Then show a free body loads diagram for each joint member.

RE: steel/structural engineering

AISC Steel Construction Manual has a treatise on prying. Find this book and use their recommendations. Maybe discuss on Structural forum.

RE: steel/structural engineering

sorry, I'm not going to download a zip file from an unknown source, and I don't have Abaqus available. Please post a free body diagram here in the forum.

Have you ever used the Windows 'Sanbbox' feature? I got hit with a ransomware virus a couple of months back, and have used it often, since then.
