As for concrete slab, either floor slab in buildngs or deck slab in bridges,

Sap2000 and CSibridge provides two options: plate and shell

Which option is more reasonable to model floor slab and deck slab under vertical load?

For a bridge deck, you need to simulate membrane and plate-bending behavior. You are looking for a shell element.

For precast concrete deck slabs, they are transversly connected by the shear keys, and there are no prestress bars in the transverse direction of the deck slab.
If the membrane action is considered, how the slabs sustain the tension force in the transverse direction?
