dear all,

I would like to know if there are typical rules of thumb for correlating the required motive gas requirement for a gas ejector to the inlet load suction gas ?

Thanks

Regards,

Motive gas flow required will increase with both suction flow rate and differential pressure requirements. It is basically an energy balance.

For eductors, I think the high number of variable prevents ROTs from being reliable or practical. Such ROTs can be stated but they have to be qualified by a number of conditions.

The dynamics of a gas (e.g. steam) ejector are interesting. You can get a sense of these dynamics by studying the curves provided by the manufacturers. There's plenty of good info on this on the internet. For example, google "Steam jet ejectors performance curves".
