What would you call this issue? Retention pond is seeping.
What would you call this issue? Retention pond is seeping.
(OP)
A local development has filled in wetlands that are at 76'. The water table in the are was checked prior to development at 68'. They are keeping the retention ponds height at 78' with a "Trickle Recharge Well". The sand ponds have no plastic or clay liners to help keep the water in and not from seeping out. The ponds have equalized with all the surrounding wetlands now and have settled at 78'. What is the appropriate term for this? Flow Net? I can give more info if needed. Thanks

The installation is a storm water retention pond, as said above.
The process is percolation driven by groundwater surcharge.
