I am currently using Creo 4.0 and I am not able to create a drawing view of a simplified rep of a part (not assembly). I have tried unsuccessfully two different ways:
1) Open up the Drawing View window, go to "View States", and the "Simplified representation" window is grayed out with Master Rep selected
2) I also tried to change the Rep by going to "Drawing Models", "Set/Add" rep, but the only option is Master Rep
Finally, I was able to kind of get it to work with some issues. I added the general view with it defaulting to Master Rep. Then I right click on that view, press "Replace View Model", and "Select New Model/Representation" and then select the representation I need. The problem is, if I modify the actual .prt in any way, the drawing view reverts back to the Master Rep and does not allow me to change it back so I am forced to delete this view and start over.
What gives? Should I be able to do this with my version of Creo? If so, how? Any suggestions for troubleshooting?
Thanks,
Matt
