Hello all,

Way back in the day I used ProEngineer, before it was Creo, before it was Wildfire etc. etc.

Back then, if you were having an issue with a blend, you could "adjust" the part tolerance and then presto, your blend would work.

Is that still a thing in the newer versions of Creo parametric? I know other newer CAD systems don't allow the user to adjust the point coincident tolerance, it's fixed in the kernal.

And please, I'm not trying to start a debate or anything, just trying to find out if that's still a thing. I've been using other systems for decades and now back using Creo.

I don't recall a "point coincidence tolerance." I started training at Rev 11 and got off the bus at Creo3.

I wonder if Olaf Corten's site is still up - Hey! It is!
In Creo 10 there is an "ACCURACY_LOWER_BOUND" setting and settings for whether to convert old absolute accuracy.

There is also "DEFAULT_ABS_ACCURACY"

See the site for more information or look at Creo Help to determine what to do.

PTC appears to recommend absolute accuracy only for mold making, which makes sense as the mold needs to match the part even if the mold is far larger.
