Can anyone tell me if CICL and DICL can be welded, and compatible with stainless steel.
I've got a DN450 CICL pipe in a very tight chamber and want to put a DN250 branch on it.
Can I weld stainless to CastIron.

Yes you can. I ran into a situation like this years ago where I work. I used PALCO 808 Electode. The Palco not only welded the stainless to the cast but is very good for cast iron to carbon steel. Palco stands for Precision Alloy Corp.
