Directing the Pole attraction to a point

Dear All,

Can we direct North Pole and South Pole attraction of a bar magnet in a particular direction. That is in opposite direction pointing to a particular point or direction (narrow).

The short answer is no. You could form the magnet into different shapes, including horseshoes
