Long-Term Durability of Epoxy Anchor in Exterior Salt Air Environment
Long-Term Durability of Epoxy Anchor in Exterior Salt Air Environment
(OP)
Anyone investigate long-term durability of Epoxy Anchors? I'm looking for a Spec that meets ACI 355.4. This is a small project, however, it is similar to an inverted pendulum. If there is a wind, it could oscillate. It wouldn't be much compared to a tank inverted pendulum. I think Adhesive Anchors would fail in a matter of a few years if exposed to the environment. It's my two sense, but I haven't convinced the owner to not use Adhesive Anchorage.

More information on the loads, exposure and geometry will help you get better advice.
Also, learn the difference between "sense" and "cent's". Engineers need to communicate effectively - especially written communication.
