Hi everybody,
I have a problem in my ETABS model for steel structure 20 floors building.
I have a one way slab and I have used one way DECK for my floors and building's drift is huge, but when I have changed the floors to SLAB (Shell thin or Shell Thick) its drift in lateral load is reasonable.
Both case has the same diaphragm (Rigid) and I supposed the drift should be the same or there shouldn't be a big difference but the result is different.

is there any explanation for that? Please advice me.

Is the model throwing up any ill conditioned errors?

Is the mass the same, is the period the same, is the correct material used, could really be anything based on the limited info you've provided. What have you discounted so far?
