Hi All,

I have a 305x165x54 UB Ridge Beam going in a house and to support the roof cassette a shelf plate has been welded to the beam. The beam has been welded using 100mm long welds at 400mm centers, how do I figure out if this weld is acceptable? I generally expect welders to weld across the whole length of the plate. The plate is 500x250x10mm thick. It is packed with timber and takes 47x197 TR26 Rafters.

Thanks
