Dear sir,
Customer request me to supply the material of lifting lug [as primary member] for skid structure with type 3.2 certificate. And also, Customer inform me that this requirement is as per ABS rule.
But I can not find the relevant ABS rule.
Can anybody advise me?

Best regards,

Hello Tasutasu,

Very often customers are sloppy in describing quality standards and demands.

You can get the information and show that you have a better system by sending a mail something like this:

'Our quality system requires that any standards or certificates required used for our productsin must be fully described
by issuers name, date of last valid issue, and full name and number of the valid text or paragraphs, or by a verified copy, when ordered. We kindly ask you to forward this to us soonest for (ABS, identifying order), as we cannot see to have received this informaation.'

And if no answer: 'Our production is regrettably on hold until we receive your answer. This might have influence on the delivery date.'

Good luck!
