I can't find any documentation about these type of steel:

300W, 44W, 50W

Do they exist?  If not, what is the type of steel used for rolled steel shapes?  If yes, what are the mechanical properties (yield strength, comp. strength, etc.)

Normally the id for rolled steel beams indicates the geometry of the section only, not the type of steel.
The types you list are not recognizable agaist a standard known to me: you should provide more details.
The type of steel may be specified indipendently of the beam section and is up to the designer to choose.

I would assume they are using something
comparable to aisi 1020 steel or such and
would use this as a rough guideline for
the material properties.  Hot rolled or
cold rolled will provide added value
to the as normalized conditions.  I too
do not recognize the numbers as meaning
anything.  What country are these numbers
coming from?  It just may be some customers
trade name for a profiled section.

The Canadian standard CSA G40.21 lists 260W, 300W and 350W grades.  The properties of the 300W are Min. Yield = 300 MPa, and UTS = 450 MPa.  I do not have an old copy of this standard, but suspect the grades 44W and 50W may be based on old designations i.e. UTS in kgf/mm².
