Seismic Base Shear of House on Hillside

Seismic Base Shear of House on Hillside

Seismic Base Shear of House on Hillside

There is a house to be built in the City of Santa Paula, California that I am designing. The house is two levels and will be constructed into the hillside. The first level is going to have a retaining wall built on the north side to hold back the earth. My question is in regards to the calculation of the seismic base shear(V). The one example I saw on the internet calculates the weight of the house but omits the weight of the retaining wall. So I am wondering do I include the weight of the retaining wall for the calculation of the seismic base shear(V)?
