SMath - XY Plot Region

RE: SMath - XY Plot Region

The project homepage is: https://en.smath.info/forum/yaf_postst1774_X-Y-Plo...
and source code here: https://smath.info:8443/!/#public/view/head/plugin...

Doesn't appear to be any documentation, other than one of the author's textbooks: http://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1621889 and possibly some postings in the Smath user forums

Thanks IRS... been on the yaf... that's where I gleaned the posting... I have XY Plot loaded as a plugin, but, if I try to load the program, the graph areas are blank.

RE: SMath - XY Plot Region

Seems OK to me. I was able to load the plug-in and tweak parameters. However, it seems to be limited to certain, unclearly documented, pre-programmed functions. Nevertheless, for the functions that it can do, it seems to be pretty good and easy to use.

Can you send me a *.sn file? I cannot even get the one on the site to load properly. What tweaks? According to the limited documentation, the plugin should load vectors... all data types are vectors.

IRS: still doesn't load. The path to the plugin is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\SMath Studio\plugins

Is it the same for your machine?

Thanks, Dik

I'm going to uninstall and re-install... Doesn't allow me to delete it... going to re-install SMath...

Little trash can doesn't work... something's broken.

IRS:
Finally got it working... pretty slick... now to check variable names in plot to see if I can assign a variable to the name... else, I have to pick a scale and scale data.

I uninstalled the program,
Copied all my desktop files to F: drive
Erased all Drive c: with 'SMath'... there was a bunch
Scrubbed the registry of 'SMath'
Reinstalled the program
Installed plugin for XYPlot Region...

and it works... to reiterate, pretty slick. Thanks for the assistance and support.

IRS:... I'm like a little terrier when things don't work. I don't have enough common sense to quit. There was something embedded, somewhere...

I had to make sure any remnants were gone... and, I think I scrubbed the system clean. Way back, I 'cleaned' Drive C:, not realising that my files on the desktop were cleaned, too. That's why I copy things to another area.

RE: SMath - XY Plot Region

Thanks very much... I don't need all the shapes... just the circle and the line.

Your solution works almost like I thought it would when you trim away things like mine... except for your double sets of brackets... maybe that's the issue. Will check.

That's what the problem was. The graph was looking for a vector value and all the vectors referenced had to be converted to a single vector... I'd have never guessed. I wish there was an explanation to the used of xyplot. Seems to be a very useful and powerful plugin.

White Paper - How ESI is Helping Move New Medical Device Product to Market Quicker & More Cost Effic
Early Supplier Involvement has long been a strategy employed by manufacturers to produce innovative products. Now, it almost seems like a necessity. Because decisions made in the design phase can positively affect product quality and costs, this can help add value to OEM bottom lines. This white paper will discuss many facets of ESI, including why it’s so valuable today, what challenges limit the benefits of ESI, how cost is impacted, and more. Download Now
White Paper - Moving to a Driverless Future
This white paper describes what we see as the best practices to support a sustainable engineering process for autonomous vehicle design. It exposes how to use simulation and testing in common frameworks to enable design exploration, verification and validation for the development of autonomous cars at a system, software and full-vehicle level to drive a mature product development process for automated driving. Research Report - How Engineers are Using Remote Access
Remote access enables engineers to work from anywhere provided they have an internet connection. We surveyed our audience of engineers, designers and product managers to learn how they use remote access within their organizations. We wanted to know which industries have adopted remote access, which software they are using, and what features matter most. Download Now
