Can anybody advise,
I have been tasked to investigate the suitability of FEA tools to accurately predict the temperature distribution in cast iron moulds used to produce round & shaped glass containers. These moulds have axial cooling holes, with air forced through them. The hole positions/ sizes are variable so as to produce uniform temperature distributions.
Does any one use FEA tools in a similar environment? if so please advise.

The geometry sounds simpler. You can use any CAD integrated tools also. (I use SolidWorks and COSMOS/Works)
I am sure its more appropriate.
