thread1480-336108: XML Crash and Lost Toolbars

I have the same issue that this one referenced and can correct the problem by removing the draftsite folder in C:\Users\[user id]\AppData\Roaming and it fixes the problem. My problem is as soon as I customize the Ribbon to add or remove commands I use it causes a crash report to happen and I have to start all over again. I am not sure if adding a command to the Ribbon is what is causing the crash but i have to waste 2 hours resetting up my system. If I import the user profile it only imports a small percentage of my profile so it is virtually useless.
Any suggestions as to what is happening and what to do to fix the issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
