Hello All,

Base Material - A333 Gr 6 and A350 LF2
Per B31.3, under which curve of Fig. 323.2.2 (A) do both these materials fall. Per Table A-1 both can be used till minus 50°F so we use the procedures qualified with impact at minus 50° F. I wanted to know do these materials fall under any curve or they do not fall under any curve.
Wanted to know this information for my knowledge. Would be a great help from you guys. Tried digging into the code but in vain so asking here.

Thank you in advance

A333 Gr.6 is impact tested at the mill to a temperature of -50°F regardless of thickness, so they are not applied to any curve.

Thanks marty007.

One question. If I use ER70S-6 MIG wire for the production welds, does it need to be impact tested at minus 50 F. Note that the PQR is impact tested at minus 50 F

Regards,
HMN
