Hi Folks

i am trying to simulate a 66MW Wind Park using minimum OHL possible i came up with two OHL-KIWI and Falcon- although Kiwi has larger cross section than falcon but the Power delievered by falcon is more than kiwi.
below it the technical data of both of them
does any one know why its behaving like this ?

Which type of simulation tool are you using? if possible you can show the simulation diagrams for both conductors from generator step-up Trx to the receiving end. better with voltage, phase angle and line current/MW/MVar.
From the datasheet of the conductors you provided, it does show KIWI conductor has smaller impedance and resistance. Without knowing details, it would be difficult to provide further comments.

You will also have to define what you consider in your "power delivered" assessment. Do you mean that both can supply the same load but one has more losses? Note that when you are comparing cross sections you should note that both conductor have a different ration of AL/Steel: Kiwi is 8.8% steel and 91.2 % AL. Falcon is 26% steel and 74% Al.

@desrod2
thanks for your answer. yes i have tried to deliver same amount of Power to the substation-both are supposed to deliver 18MW with 33KV-
as you already said Falcon has less Aluminium so i would imagine the ability of conducting power in Falcon shall be less than kiwi but at the end of my transmission lines i have more losses with kiwi than with falcon.

@QBplanner
im using power factory
