Does Nastran have p/h element feature?
(OP)
Hi all,
I have come across some article saying that hp element bring a lot of advantage in capturing stress concentration area.
However I cannot find any tutorial or article teaching how to use these elements. Could anyone give me a clue please?
Thank you

RE: Does Nastran have p/h element feature?
Pl. refer sec 13.8 of the nastran reference manual. There is a Kt example problem which is solved using p-elements under this section.
If you don't have access to the reference manual. It can always be downloaded from the MSC.Software web-site at:
https://simcompanion.mscsoftware.com/infocenter/in...
you need to register before you can download from this site.
RE: Does Nastran have p/h element feature?
Thanks for your reply. I have read the reference manual as well. However the problem is I am using NX Nastran which is an GUI and the manual is in TUI or command, so I do not know exactly how to implement the p-element in GUI or NX Nastran environment.
Could you please me with that?
Thank you
Jason
