Key Commands not working??

Key Commands not working??

Key Commands not working??

I recently got a new workstation and did a fresh install of DS 2016 x64 SP1 (Windows 10) - Now key commands no longer work.

"M" used to be move - now it is nothing
"L" used to be line - now it is nothing
"C" used to be circle - etc, etc

This is causing a serious slowdown in my work - any suggestions are appreciated!

Edit: From what I can find on the nets it looks like something to do with an "alias"? If anyone can help me out I would appreciate.

Edit #2: Okay - I went to OPTIONS/USER PREFERENCES/ALIASES/IMPORT, traced my way to USER/ETC/ALIASES and imported the XML file "alias" - all the commands show up in the list, however when I hit "Apply" they all disappear!

Edit #3: Found this thread: http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=375241

Edit #4: I made sure that the "alias" XML file was in the folder and corrected the path under FILE LOCATIONS/INTERFACE/ALIAS FILE LOCATION, but when I go to that folder when making the path the file does not show up. I KNOW it is there - I have the file folder open and I'm literally looking at it sitting there - why won't Draftsight find it??

Edit #5: FIXED - the alias file won't actually show up in the folder from inside Draftsight - just make sure it is there and provide the path to the proper folder - it works

RE: Key Commands not working??

Since you've found your answer, this is for future searchers.
In DS2016, go to Manage, Interface, Keyboard, Shortcuts or Override. You can add to either of these categories, but as far as I can tell, they require a (2) key combo. Sylvia
