Getting the digital seal is not a problem but can anyone tell how to go about obtaining a digital signature. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We use Bluebeam which has a Digital Signature function built in that is easy to set up. Bluebeam is also a very handy tool for marking up drawings or creating quick engineering sketches. We love it, much better than Adobe and cheaper.

I second Bluebeam. It has the function you're looking for and it's awesome for marking up drawings.

Are you talking about a signature that is verified by a trusted third party (like most engineering boards are requiring)? If so, there a plenty of companies that will rent you a plug-in or a dongle for acrobat that will provide this service. I have not gone this route yet (even though we are required to). I think it was like $300 for 500 signatures.

Here is an example of what a Board may require...

We use Nitro Pro. Easy, cheap. Useful pdf-tool to use - I still use Adobe for opening/reading pdf's though, as it's a faster/simpler program.
