Staad help on faster model generation

I see it time consuming on modelling my structure to arrive at the right 3d geometry. Could you pls. suggest other software programs that maybe of help which could be interlinked to staad .staad accepts DXF files. I use autocad but i got the wrong orientations.

It won't link to STAAD but RISA is the best.
