Extraction of vibration /shock data from data logger
Extraction of vibration /shock data from data logger
(OP)
hi
i am working on vibration and shock data recording in lab view software screens. i have different data loggers but they have their own GUI .I DONT KNOW THE FORMAT OR DATA PROTOCOL. I need help to extract vibration and shocks data from that data logger.
and want to display it in lab view screens. I will be grateful if some one help me.

Or are the data historical and cannot be recreated?
Are they available as graphs on paper or film? If so, it is usually possible to let a tracing device convert the traces to a set of data that can be read into any logger of your choice.
It is even possible to use a digitizer and do the tracing manually. Boring, but possible.

any one can guide me regarding any good rugged vibration /shock data logger which give their data format and could be interfaced with serial port or data can be serially out from it to interface with labview. please give detail info thanks

Make it easier for us! How many analogue channels? How many digital channels? What outputs do your sensors provide? What is your power source? What time period does it need to record for? What resolution?
RE: Extraction of vibration /shock data from data logger
i have to use 12 channels(4 tri -axial sensors) and need 12 bit resolution. is there no other possibility or a converter that can be designed to extract vibration/shock data from data logger and convert it to our desired format &use

You say that you have a logger. But I get a feeling that you do not have that. Just the transducers? If that is so, there are lots and lots of data acquisition devices that you can use. What frequency range do you need?
