Hey all,

Just wondering if any of you out there would be happy to help me get a handle on what some unit rates for lab and field testing is in your neck of the woods - not to include travel time, etc. as our site lab is only 2 km from the testing locations.

Nuclear density test - per point
Standard Proctor
Specific gravity (silt/clay trace sand)
organic content

We have some, what I think, outlandish quoted prices for "extra work". The other tests (Atterbergs, Particle size - seem reasonable).

Please, if you would be so kind, identify the currency you are dealing with (Euros, USD, CdnD, Baht, Indian Rupee, etc).

I appreciate any help you may wish to offer . .

Nuclear Density - only performed on an hourly basis. We charge $62 per hour.
CBR - $250 for a single point and $500 for 3 points
Specific Gravity - $80 each
Organic Content - $$80 each

Above rates are for "standard" projects. Specific projects could be more or less depending.

I've been in Asia too long . . . .!!!!! thanks so far - still looking for other rates. If I were to pay nuclear tests on a lab tech basis only plus say 10% for partial nuclear costs (calibration, leak test, etc) it would be very low as techs here make about $9USD/hr.

LBR (Equivalent to CBR): $250.00/test (US)
Modified and Standard Proctor: $75.00/test (US)
Specific Gravity Test (Fine Aggregate): $125.00/test (US)
Specific Gravity Test (Course Aggregate): $75.00/test (US)
Organic Content: $30.00/test (US)
