An ambitious plan could see Wales’ economy and energy needs transformed by the power of the tides. Could tidal power plants have a major impact on how coastal regions, or even countries source their power?
While Swansea itself could be usefully submerged in seawater except at low tide, I'm not sure that much of the coastline deserves the same fate. 320 MW is piffling is it not? is that averaged over 24 hours or just a peak power? the 10m figure only applies 4 times a day, the rest of the time it'll be less.
