Need Help cutting Aluminum on an Amada F0 3015 Laser!!!

(OP)
does any body have any good cutting conditions for an Amada F0 3015 Laser? i have a problem with slag and dross i can never seem to get rid of it completely mostly on my 125 and 190 Aluminum I would appreciate any help, dont know if that was enough info on my laser to find help???

RE: Need Help cutting Aluminum on an Amada F0 3015 Laser!!!

i think i have mine set with the focal point basically at the bottom of the material and i cut it with shop air. nozzle gap need to be very close so you can get high pressure with the large nozzles. i use a 2.0 nozzle for .125 and the 4.0 double for 190. i run the pressure around .85

feed speed is around 105 for the .125 and 60 for the .190

i'll try to get some exact numbers of the machine later today.

they were working ok for a while now i cant seem to get the dross gone

check to see if you stressed your optic? we use polarizing filters like in this link to determine it:

Aluminum is unforgiving if you don't have enough power or correct focus.

also incase you didn't know the only focal adjustment that does anything is line 1.

i mainly only use e3 and e4 the rest probly dont cut that well.

Thanks Alot b20vtechb!! right now im cutting Aluminum but im cutting really big parts about 5' long so when i cut some smaller parts ill try your settings, the only thing that might be an issue is that I cut my Aluminum with Nitrogen kinda scared to cut without it
