Stainless Steel Specification

(OP)
I've seen somewhere on the web that an organization (I believe AISC) is coming out with a design guide or specification for Stainless Steel design. Anyone know what's going on with this.

RE: Stainless Steel Specification

There are good books on this subject.
I haven't seen any web activity that was nearly thorough enough to be useful.
Start with this one from ASM:

Stainless Steels for Design Engineers

Author(s): Michael F. McGuire
Audience This book gives engineers and designers a valuable guide on stainless steels and how to use them.Easy to read, this helpful technical guide is for anyone who designs or builds with stainless steels.

RE: Stainless Steel Specification

Eurocode 3 (EN 1993) already covers stainless steel for structures.

RE: Stainless Steel Specification

ASCE Standard 8-02 covers Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Stainless Steel Structural Members. This was originally produced by AISI then ASCE took it over.

RE: Stainless Steel Specification

I agree with CoryPad, Eurocode 3 already covers stainless steel.
Moreover, the Steel Construction Institute (SCI) has also published a design guide about stainless steel which is really useful. It contains a lot of theoretical information as well as design examples.
