Prime 2.0 Update
Prime 2.0 Update
(OP)
PTC offers an upgrade from Mathcad to Prime 2.0 for a limited time for $500. Does anybody here know if it is worth it? I have never used Prime in the past.

RE: Prime 2.0 Update
All of our team have looked at Prime 2.0, and while, we like the new interface, virtually all of us (if not all) are still using 15. Many of our existing worksheets simply would not transfer across to Mathcad Prime 2.0, due to missing or incompatible key functionality. In some cases, a complete re-write _MIGHT_ make it possible to re-do the calculation using Prime 2.0, but what is the point of spending all that effort with no guarantee of success, just to get a bit more "eye candy"? We have better things to do with our time and money, and Prime 2.0 is simply not yet capable of doing what most of us NEED it to do - I'll take another look when Prime 3.0 comes out - or maybe 4.0, or ...
Your needs may be different - especially if your existing worksheets are relatively simple, or if you are a new user with no legacy worksheets to port across. Why not try the free trial and decide for yourself before splashing out for the "upgrade"?

RE: Prime 2.0 Update
The free trial gives you 30 days of full access to Prime 2.0, after which it reverts to a lifetime "Express" licence with reduced functionality.
