Hello all,

I have been trying to model a mechanism using SimMechanics for over 2 days and am not getting anywhere...I am simply too daft to get my head around it and was wondering if anybody out there would be able to help me?

I would do appreciate it believe me!!!!

The schemtic for the linkage is attached, the problem is not just with its modeling..it is essentially a design I'm working on to perfectly balance a link, for all positions...I want to be able to determine the length of the vertical cable, spring 'k' value and where along the fixed reference 'wall' I would need to attach the cable under tension, if the mass of the movable link were 200kilos....

I do realise that there are lots of unknowns here, but this is all I have to work on at the present moment..

Again would really appreciate any and all help, looking forward to all your positive suggestions and help!!!!
