How to do static stress analysis on pipe.

(OP)
I'm pretty new to using the simulation part of Solidworks. Basically what I have is a pipe fixed at one end, and it has a displacement of 'x' inches at the other end. Is there a way I can run an analysis on how much stress there is by simply inputting the displacement of the free end?

Instead of applying a load opposite the fixed end, you could use advanced fixtures by selecting the direction the pipe will deflect and enter the deflection value in the translations box.
