Hi,

We are about to purchase our first laser cutting machine.
We are in debate between an Amada 1212 Alpha 3 2-2.5KW OR an Amada 1212 Alpha 2 1.5KW

We mostly cut 6mm small pieces with the occasional 8mm piece.
What I'm really looking for is a calculator that will allow me to see the difference in cutting time for my pieces so i can get my numbers correct.

Any comment will be much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Avi

2 TheRealIceman,
Hi,
Best way is to check it with Amada software.
May be you will not see real time for machining the part, but definetly you wiLl see the difference in cutting time.
Take cutting data for boths and check them.
As a thumb you can try these data:
AlphaIII, with 2kW 6mm steel, Small holes 1,2m/min, contour 2m/min;
AlphaII 1.5 kW, 1,2m/min, 1,8 m/min respectively.
Also focus on Maintanance period, Maintanance duration, cost of consumables (mirrors, oil etc. and their quantity), nozzles and lenses as well.

Make you choice!
