Relative Humidity Limit For Air Piping, 2% - ?
Relative Humidity Limit For Air Piping, 2% - ?
(OP)
I am revising a standard that references an article "Save Plant Equipment by Taking Contaminants Out of the Air", from the October 1988 Issue of Power Magazine by Joseph P. Bannon.
This article points out that the relative humidity in a compressed air piping system should be kept below 2% in order to avoid corrosion in steel air piping.
Does anyone know of a corroborating reference that also identifies 2% as the maximum RH to avoid corrosion in steel air piping?
