for those that work in florida, is seismic activity typically a concern (it would appear to me that wind would be of a much bigger concern)? in particular, do you typically perform a probabilistic seismic hazard analysis since the seismic parameters are so low (based on a quick review of the usgs maps)? and i would think that if you were going to perform a site specific seismic assessment, your primary focus would be on liquefaction...is this a correct observation on my part?
i've never worked in florida but am trying to offer some assistance to a few collegues with their project down there. thanks for any responses and/or additional comments.

The FBC does not consider seismic loading.

Agree with UcfSE - Florida outlawed earthquakes.

Maybe they should outlaw wind too!  That would solve most of the problems.
