Hot tensile strength of duplex stainless steel

Hot tensile strength of duplex stainless steel

Hot tensile strength of duplex stainless steel

(OP)
Does anybody have, or know where I can get hold of, information about the elevated temperature tensile strength of duplex stainless steels, particularly ASTM A890 grade 4A. This is the cast version od UNS S31803. I am looking for information at temperatures above ambient up to around 300 deg C.

Thanks

RE: Hot tensile strength of duplex stainless steel

According to ASME 2D Tensile values for S31803 are as follows: -

Degrees F        Tensile Strength KSI
-20 to 200        90
300            86.8
400            83.5
500            81.6
600            80.7
650            80.5

All the specification listed have the same values, but your specific grade is not listed.

If you need to more about Duplex got to http://www.gowelding.btinternet.co.uk/met/

Thanks, Welding1.

Does ASME 2D also list proof/yield strength requirements for the same material?  If so, what are they?
