Here is what I get while running the tappo_6ed8_60x128x60 abaqus job on windows xp:
C:\Documents and Settings\alorenzom\Desktop\Electrical>abaqus job=tappo_6ed8_60x
128x60 interactive
Old job files exist. Overwrite? (y/n): y
Abaqus JOB tappo_6ed8_60x128x60
Abaqus Version 6.7-1

Run pre.exe
Abaqus License Manager checked out the following licenses:
Abaqus/Standard checked out 5 tokens.
<13 out of 18 licenses remain available>.
Unexpected error 8

Abaqus Error: The executable C:\ABAQUS\6.7-1\exec\pre.exe
aborted with system error code 29539.
Please check the .dat, .msg, and .sta files for error messages if the files
exist. If there are no error messages and you cannot resolve the problem,
please run the command "abaqus job=support information=support" to report and
save your system information. Use the same command to run Abaqus that you
used when the problem occurred. Please contact your local Abaqus support
office and send them the input file, the file support.log which you just
created, the executable name, and the error code.
Abaqus/Analysis exited with errors
In dat file there's only:
PROCESSING PART, INSTANCE, AND ASSEMBLY INFORMATION
and then the end of file.

Running your model under Win2K I get a window pop up titled with the heading "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" and containing the following text:-
Runtime Error! Program: C:\ABAQUS\6.7-1\exec\pre.exe
However it runs successfully on a Linux installation, which ain't too surprising since it's a MS C++ library error.
I suggest that you contact Simulia's help desk.
