Golden Dragon LED reliability discussion...

Golden Dragon LED reliability discussion...

(OP)
Alright fellas,

you guys have helped out a ton in the past on a variety of subjects.  Today I'm wondering if any of you have experience in failure analysis or reliability testing of these specific LED's.  I am qualifying them right now and was wondering if you could answer a few Q's:

1.) i use c-scan as a bond analysis tool, could submersion in water (an inherent part of the process) cause degradation of the LED? (after thermal cycling perhaps?)
note: it is JEDEC moisture sensitivity level 4...

2.) does anyone know the part number for the gold plated version of the golden dragon or where i could get some?

3.) does anyone know non-destructive analysis methods other than x-ray and optical inspection?  i have encountered LED failures where the bonds are great, but the LED itself is dead.  Some suggestions were FIB (focused ion beam) and multi-stage X-ray.  Is there anything out there that can help me determine if the dies themselves have crapped out?? (and no, an electrical test will not necessarily tell you...)

any and all help is appreciated.  thanks.
